The SDS3962 is a liquid particle counter based on the light-blocking (light-shielding) principle. It accurately measures particles from 1 to 600 μm across eight channels. It incorporates commonly used pollution level standards and can simultaneously measure particle number concentration and pollution level. Featuring a 5-inch large screen display, it supports touchscreen and button operation, and offers various wired and wireless interfaces. Data can be transmitted in real-time to various smart terminals via a standard RS485 interface and Modbus-RTU protocol, reducing human intervention and enabling online intelligent monitoring and early warning. The precise measurement of particle size and quantity distribution in the liquid provides data support for predictive maintenance of the equipment.
The SDS3962 portable liquid particle counter is designed based on GB/T29024 (ISO21501) Particle Size Analysis – Optical Measurement Methods for Single Particles – Part 3: Liquid Particle Counter – Photoobscuration Method. It features an industrial-grade light source, a meticulously calibrated optical flow cell and pressure-resistant structure, high-precision flow control, and combines NovoFang’s latest generation of particulate signal processing technology and high-precision particle recognition algorithms. It offers accurate and stable particle counting and is suitable for some high-temperature and high-pressure environments, meeting the high-precision measurement needs of users in various application scenarios.
Working Principle: The single-particle photoresist method is used for measurement. Through precise optical design and flow cell structure, particles in the liquid are sequentially passed through the light beam at a constant flow rate. As the particles pass, some of the light is blocked, which causes the photodetector at the other end to sense the change in light intensity. The amount of blocked light is proportional to the particle size. After identifying the changes and frequency of the signal as the particles pass through the detection area, the particle size and number of each particle can be obtained through a calibration procedure.
